About the Casserole Queens

How We Got Started

Lots of folks have asked us how we got started, and the truth is that the idea for the Casserole Queens was conceived one night while contemplating life over a salty margarita (or two). As we sipped, Sandy spoke of how she was inspired by a recent holiday visit with her family. She described the event with a sparkle in her eye, and proposed the idea of bringing families back together at the dinner table with home-cooked goodness.

It is hard to believe that the Queens have now been serving one-dish wonders in Austin for over three years! We look forward to expanding our operation in the years to come, because everyone deserves a little lovin’ in their oven!

About Crystal

Crystal, a former citizen of Corporate America, brings over 14 years of marketing experience to the Casserole Queens team and an entrepreneurial drive to help execute on their vision. In addition to her strong marketing background, Crystal comes from generations of fine cooking. Raised a true Southern Belle, this Casserole Queen knows her way around the kitchen and into every food lover’s heart.

About Sandy

Sandy is a graduate of the prestigious French Culinary Institute in New York City. Drawing from a diverse culinary background, including stints at Austin restaurants Jeffrey’s and Cipollina, Sandy has a knack for enhancing the taste of an old favorite -- as well as serving up some uniquely different dishes of her own.
